Build your own¶
The terraPen is open source, so you can build your own. This section is the build guide for the A2 coreXY plotter, and it is still being written. Pages are added as each part of the build is documented.

Nothing here has been completed as a full step-by-step build yet. What is here is accurate, and where something is still being checked it says so.

Source files¶
The 3D files and the spreadsheet version of the bill of materials are in the mechanical design files repository. The electronics and software are listed on Hardware and source files.
What you will need to be able to do¶
- 3D print parts, including in TPU
- Cut and tap 2020 aluminium extrusion, or have it cut and tapped for you
- Crimp JST connectors onto wire
- Fit threaded inserts into printed parts with heat
